Affidavit, Death of John Prior of Sangamon

William Prior swore that John Prior of Sangamon County
died 13 Sept. 1832. Ruth Prior, widow relinquished her right to administer
her husbands estate and recommended William Prior. William Prior was named administer, and bond signed by
William Prior, Thomas Duff, William Duff. Hiers named in the settlement were; Ruthie Prior widow,
Sarah Duff (late Prior), Rachel Russel (late Rachel Prior), Elander Wilson
(late Elander Prior), Peggy Massey (late Peggy Pryor), William Prior,
Sherrill Prior, John Prior, Elizabeth Smith (late Elizabeth Pryor), and
Mary Sellens (late Mary Prior).
Explanation of Relationships in Affidavit:
Widow: Ruth Pryor b. 1774is the
daughter of Quiller/Aquilla Sherrill and Lucretia Wilson
Daughter: Mary Sellens, is Mary Saylors/Sailors
Daughter: Elander m. her cousin, I have his
first name somewhere, (Wilson)
Daughter: Sarah m. William Duff
Daughter: Peggy or Margaret m. James Massa
Daughter: Not proven but ElizabethPryor m.
Bird Smith I found her in 1880
Son: John Pryor m. Susan Ann
Clara b. about 1824 TN.
