Q. Is every Pryor in the US on this website?
A. This website started out to trace the Pryors from Middle Tennessee. As we started to piece together their history we discovered their ancestors in other states and their descendants in Tennessee and beyond. This site includes Pryors from many states and is added to frequently. Not everyone is on the website yet!
Q. How do I find my Pryor ancestor on this website?
A. You can start your search with the Google site search or from the navigation on the left of the screen. There were lots of John Pryors, for instance, so try not to start your search with a common name. If you know the location of your Pryor's birth or where they lived, this is often a good place to start and work your way backwards following the notes.
Q. How do I post information on my Pryor family member?
A. We do not allow direct postings of queries or information to the website. If you have information on your Pryor family that you would like to share please contact us via email. Information can be presented via email content or email attachment. Server space is limited, so we reserve the right to make the final decision of what is posted to the website. Pryor boards on Ancestry.com and Genealogy.com allow posting of queries and information.
Q. Do you have a "wishlist" for this website?
A.
Photos are always an exciting addition. Everyone loves to see faces of their kin. Other great additions are family papers, Bibles, and histories that add information where it is lacking in the public record. Also, the transcripts of public records where only the index is available otherwise.
